🚨 HISTORIC ANNOUNCEMENT: THE MOTHMAN HAS MOVED TO MORGANTOWN! 🚨
The rumors are flying faster than a ten-foot winged humanoid on a moonless night. After a marathon 24-hour negotiation session held at the Transallegheny Lunatic Asylum, Cryptid Mountain Miniature Golf is proud to announce that we have officially purchased the legendary metal Mothman Statue from the city of Point Pleasant!
As of 4:00 AM this morning, the 1,000-pound metallic icon has been permanently bolted into our parking lot. While our world-class course remains safely indoors, the Mothman has officially taken up his new post as our Chief Parking Attendant.
Let’s be honest: Point Pleasant was a great birthplace, but the Mothman was ready for the “Morgantown Upgrade.” He’s already much happier in his new home:
• Peace and Quiet: By moving to our neck of the woods—away from the noise of High Street—he can finally focus on what he does best: staring intensely at the horizon and judging your parking skills.
• Our parking lot sits at a much better vantage point away from the nasty Ohio River humidity.
• The “Inner Peace” Proximity: Even though he lives in the lot, he’s only a few feet away from our climate-controlled indoor facility.
Important Visitor Information
The Mothman is still adjusting to the local altitude. While you are encouraged to take selfies, please follow these “New Neighbor” rules:
1. No Direct Eye Contact: We’ve freshly buffed his red eyes (and buttox), and the glare can be seen from space. We are not responsible for any temporary spots in your vision or sudden urges to buy some of our cryptid merch.
2. Respect the Wings: His wingspan needed a bit of adjustment. If you see him swaying in the breeze, it’s not the just wind—it’s “interpretive dance.”
3. Bring No Lamps: Seriously. Do not bring flashlights or high-intensity lamps near him. He’s trying to stay focused on his new job as our parking lot guard, and we don’t want him getting distracted.
Swing by Cryptid Mountain today to witness the legend for yourself! He’s out in the lot, he’s shiny, and he’s ready to wish you a HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S DAY!

A message from Mothboy Mike: “With the help of the very successful GoFundMe that happened in November I am excited to announce “Mothman And Friends Learn” which is a new series of early learning children’s books. These books will include Mothman and its friends Flatwoods Monster, Grafton Monster, Vegetable Man, Sheepsquatch, Snarly Yow, and Ogua on brand new adventures roaming the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia in search of fun things to learn. The first two books “Mothman And Friends Learn The ABC’s” and “Mothman And Friends Learn The Colors” will be out later this year. These books will be lovingly illustrated by Fox And Brambles and will catch the eye of any young Cryptid enthusiast out there. Work on these books is currently underway so keep a look out for updates on them in the near future!”
