The cat and the portal in Oregon were painted with a slow build up of acrylic and the oil on top.

The portal leads to another dimension of reality that our brains, as a filter of reality that limits what we can see with our 5 senses down to what’s necessary for survival of the body. What else is out there once you step through the portal of the 5 senses?

How to silence the inner critic. The inner critic is comprised of everyone who has ever rejected you or said some ignorant comment about being an artist and for me it was Ms. Wasson my Color and Design teacher from back in the day. Everyone has a Ms. Wasson in their past. That one teacher who hates you because they hated themselves and they saw the younger version of themselves in you. That’s why I listen to audiobooks while working. So I don’t have to listen to Ms. Wasson in my head.

We’re in a transitional place right now where we get to step through and learn what’s necessary to become who we get to be.

It’s a place I keep coming back to when I learn that the truth is the opposite of what we’ve been taught.
