A look back at Precious Stories, our pop-up with the Portland Museum of Art ✨

While our pop-up has wrapped, the inspiration behind it is still on view. Precious: The Value of Ornament explores how beauty, meaning, and value live within the objects we collect, wear, and pass down.

The exhibition highlights works by Indigenous, Black, q***r, and women artists alongside jewelry and decorative arts—areas of the PMA’s growing collection that have often existed outside traditional museum boundaries.

It’s a thoughtful invitation to see ornament not as something extra, but as something deeply expressive: a reflection of identity, history, healing, and personal connection.
