It’s photography time!! Tonight I’m going to shoot photos of all these earrings so we can list them on our website. They’re mostly wire crochet earrings, which started our jewelry journey back in 2011. These are beautiful, lightweight earrings that you can easily wear all day. There are a few different colors, but we’re really leaning into our autumnal and fall colors. They’ll be posted on our website later this week!

About a year ago I got these aluminum rings with an antique copper finish. They’re 14g and excellent for a chunky Byzantine weave bracelet. I finally made one and I love it! But I didn’t like any of the premade toggle clasps I have and I decided to make my own little hook for it. I really like how this turned out. This bracelet is perfect for someone who wants the antique look but not the weight of copper. I will make more of these!

I got a bee in my bonnet last night and wondered: can I use the pounds (literally) of 6mm beads we have for the Romanov weave bracelet? I made a test section with nickel and Dalmatian jasper beads to find out. And it worked! The Junior Romanov has a much daintier aspect that I find appealing. This has been such a fun weave to play with and I feel like I’ve unlocked something for myself with this!

Working on a Romanov weave copper bracelet this morning, which requires a lot of rings. So satisfying to play with :3

Jane is working on some ornaments for this holiday season! This is the largest one: a Victorian-style Cross. It’s a beautiful mix of blue and silver, but it didn’t start that way. This piece is proof that every creation is really a process and it sometimes takes multiple false starts before a color palette comes together.

Tonight I’m cutting a bunch of jump rings by hand because my rotary blade broke. :( Disappointing, to say the least. I thought I’d share my backup plan since I’m about to cut a couple hundred rings by hand lol process

I finished the Romanov weave bracelet today! This is the one I started last night. I love this bracelet. It’s absolutely mine from now on. It’s made with nickel rings I made, cut, and wove by hand. The stones are Mongolian Turquoise. I’ve wanted to make this weave for more than a year — nearly as long as I’ve been making chainmail jewelry — and I’m so proud of this bracelet. It really feels like I’ve grown as an artist by making this bracelet. Now I cannot wait to make more!!

I’m making a new style of bracelet and thought I’d share a little bit of the process. For the last few weeks I’ve thought about making a Romanov weave bracelet and decided to start it tonight. Whenever I make a bracelet for the first time I think of it as a prototype and I keep it for myself. They’re mementos of my progress as a jeweler and I think they’re pretty. Especially these beads! I’ll share the final product when it’s done.

We have stainless steel earrings now! They’re Byzantine weave earrings crafts with handmade stainless steel rings and earwires. The stainless steel we used has a lovely brushed finished, which gives it a more matte look. This makes them a great everyday accessory for anyone who wants a more industrial, heavy duty, or goth style. Please check out the link in bio if you want to see more!
