So this is what happens when you have a small procedure done, and come back home while still under anesthesia… you attempt a rainbow galaxy in your brand new sketchbook with Khadi paper. I mean, galaxies are pretty foolproof, and just FINE to put on the FIRST page of a beloved sketchbook that traveled from India to me here in Texas, right?!?! (That was sarcastic, you can tell I was definitely still under anesthesia to do this)
Luckily I don’t HATE it, it’s not what I was intendending either, but I don’t feel the need to cry and rip it out either. We will see how I feel about it tomorrow.
Lots of goodies to tell you about next:
All paint: (and she has a huge restock on Friday, so you can pick some up if you wish! What I really love about Carrie’s paints are that if you follow her over time, she makes a lot of paints in subtle variations of similar colors, (I have the entire rainbow in subtle degrees now!) which allow you to not only play with value changes within a color, but then move on to a slight tone change, and really build up color movement.)

📒The one I painted in has a Kraft paper cover with Khadi Paper. Amazing for wet in wet, I love it. I also bought one in Portrait with a beautiful garden rose cover that has Chitrapat 270 gsm that I’m excited to try as well.

It’s another rainy, rainy day here in Dallas, Texas. I know we will be begging for the rain when it’s 110*F later in the summer, but for now, I’m really tired of it every day!
