In the summer of 2007, our family found themselves settling down in Russellville, Arkansas, due to a terminal illness my father had. Not knowing what life would have for me, I walked through life almost numb to what I had experienced, mainly because I was only 13 at the time. Years of holidays, birthdays, and celebrations happen till it was time for me to graduate high school in 2013. I decided my
senior year to apply for the college in my hometown, where that next semester, I was a student at Arkansas Tech University. I felt that college just wasn't the right atmosphere for me. So instead, I did the one thing no one thought I would, I joined the Marine Corps. In the four years I spent, I accomplished so much in my personal and professional career. On the one hand, I was crushing it at my job and everything I needed to stay competitive, all while being a mother and wife. After completing a deployment where I was separated from my one-year-old daughter, I decided it was my time to stay home and focus on what was most important to me, family. For years I was told where to be and what to do, and now I had all this time on my hands and nothing to do. This was my chance to take that same dedication and determination I learned and apply it somewhere else, college AGAIN! I got an Associate's degree in the Science of Business, which led me to where I am now. I struggled for a while on what I wanted to do while supporting my husband, and I found myself wanting to create one-of-a-kind jewelry that expresses who I am as a creator but allowing customers, you, to express themselves.
