Before my 28th birthday I decided to take a 2 week hiatus off social media to just be present with myself & God..

I missed the whole point..

The reason I got off social media was because I was doom scrolling so much in search of happiness instead of creating my own. During my time off social media, I didn’t realize I was still doing that just in a different way. I wanted God to show me signs, I’m reading my word not realizing with me in mind, just seeking validation & I think God just simply wanted me to rest. Stop trying to figure things or what’s going to happen in this next chapter but just rest & see..

We don’t have platonic Heart-to-Hearts enough😮‍💨 me & my friend was due for one BAD!

We’re always so busy with life and work that having “low maintenance” friendship worked for us until it didn’t..

It’s so crazy to me because this very thing has been on my heart lately so when she expresssed it, it was good to see we were on the same page.

We both realized that we need to be attentive and pour into our friendship more. I loved that no one blamed the other. We both took accountability for our part and I love that our friendship is important enough and deserves to be treated as such🫶🏾✨

I think I’ve been in isolation longer than I was supposed, it was a season that was needed, but has come to an end..

Me & God worked the some things & I’m still unfinished but God keeps showing me to stop focusing on the seeds that are planted & waiting for harvest but focus on the flowers that have ALREADY bloomed and still growing beautifully🥹🌻

There is so much of me that has transformed, answered prayers I’m walking in daily, and just parts me of myself that are worth loving & sharing with the world that I’m doing myself a disservice by staying in isolation..

Idk if it’s the fact that I’m on vacation or Thailand it’s self but since I’ve been here, I take pride and enjoy getting ready for the day🤔

I forgot how important it is to love in yourself in the morning and set the tone for the day.

For some people, waking up early enough and taking time to get ready is apart of their everyday routine but for others (like me) when you get stuck in life; all you want to do is get up, get the day started, just to get it over with.

I feel like this is the beginning of finding a new normal & starting a new rhythm✨
