Yesterday officially marked 100 days until retirement and yes, I missed the post. 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

But I certainly didn’t miss the meaning of the moment.

After almost 23 years, I am now officially in the double digits: only 99 days until I close this chapter and begin a new one filled with more freedom, creativity, family time, meaningful work, and room to simply enjoy life.

The countdown is getting real, y’all! I’m excited, a little nervous, deeply grateful and more than ready to see what the next chapter holds.

Retirement isn’t the end of my story… stay tuned for the sequel. 💗

I ALMOST FORGOT…AGAIN! 😂

I was sitting here working in Canva on my business branding when it hit me…

TODAY IS DAY 120!

120 days until retirement.

And there’s something kind of fitting about the fact that I almost forgot because I was busy working on something that’s part of where I’m headed next.

I’m still working my regular job. Still creating. Still building. Still making plans. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, another 10 days quietly slipped by.

120 days.

I’m not just counting down to the day I stop working.

I’m counting down to more time to create.
More time to build Paper Petals and More.
More time for family.
More time for my home.
More time for all those DIY projects waiting on me. 😂
And more time to discover what this next chapter will become.

Tonight, though?

I’m going back to this branding before I forget what I was doing there too. 😂

120 days. My next chapter is getting closer. 💗

**DAY 130 💗**

One thing I'm looking forward to in retirement? **Having more time for projects like this.**

I've always had a hard time getting rid of things that still have a little life left in them. Give me something old, forgotten, thrifted, or tucked away in a closet, and chances are I'm already thinking about what it *could* become.

This thrifted wooden basket. A little blush spray paint, a little imagination...and she's getting a whole new life. And can we talk about this blush? **The blush is BLUSHING.** 😂💗

I think that's part of what excites me about this next chapter.

More time to create.
More time to DIY.
More time to repurpose the things I've held onto.
More time to appreciate keepsakes with all those memories.
And maybe even more time to discover possibilities I haven't thought of yet.

There's something beautiful about realizing that **old doesn't mean finished. Sometimes it just means ready for a new purpose.**

And now that I think about it...maybe that applies to more than just the basket.

**130 days until retirement.**
