This note from Victor certainly made me feel good, reminding me of the purpose laden adventure we are on. He is a neurosurgeon out of Scottsdale. Years ago he invested in our YES watch company. I greatly appreciate his support. 🙏
Bjørn,
In these wild winds of our age where empires shift like thunderheads over the fjords and headlines test the mettle of every soul, I see you standing firm at the helm. That is precisely why I wanted to remind you, old friend, that you are no mere captain; you are the modern leader forging destiny from steel, circuits and an unyielding will.
The Copernicus prototypes will rise like dawn over the horizon. The Copernicus will not merely tell time; it will mark the saga of what you’ve built when we refused to yield. My girls helped you select the name for this project.  I’m in a happy mood as tonight, my younger daughter graduated as the valedictorian of her class. My other daughter is in medical school, mastering the art and science of neurosurgery.
Others would have long been crushed by the challenges, but you my friend, you carry the spirit of our ancestors, the ones who crossed impossible seas not because it was easy, but because their blood demanded it. Recently, I learned that Rurik, the Varangian ruler, my ancestor on my father’s side, was a Viking and united the Slavic clans to form Rurik’s land, later Rus-land, later Russia.
Somehow, he makes me think of you, standing in the face of the impossible and laughing at it. Every challenge you face, funding gaps, timelines, tech parameters and the endless grind is but another dragon for you to slay. And you are slaying it. The HK team’s progress, the GPS singing true, Christmas deliveries on the horizon… this is the stuff of legends, man. I hope that you can understand how much respect I have for you.  My busy life prevents me from properly penning you a solid letter, such as this, but tonight it felt appropriate.
The Copernicus will reach wrists, and when it does, the world will know that a band of brothers stood together and made the impossible real. I stand with you. I believe in this project, in you, and in what we are building together.
Onward, always,
Victor
