When my own personal transformation began in 2000, I became so excited about inspiration that I wanted to share it with everyone. Since those early days for me, I've taken several approaches in sharing what I believe to be helpful to living a happier and empowered life. In 2003 I opened For Your Journey - An Inspirational Center. It was a bookstore, gift shop and a place for classes and workshops.
When I closed the center in 2005, I became a life coach and empowerment teacher. This evolved from the two years of talking to hundreds of people going through similar life transitions. They all wanted to know how to live a happier life! In the last few years, I stepped away from coaching, but never lost my passion to share inspiration. In 2012 I felt the desire to again focus on sharing and decided to discover what would be next for me. Since I didn't know what I exactly wanted to do right away, I decided I simply wanted to share quotes that were most meaningful to me. This was my favorite way to inspire myself. However, I wanted something a bit different. I didn't want to just share other people's work (although I do sometimes share those as well), but rather create something myself. The idea of making my own backgrounds for the quotes came to me. At the time though, I believed I was the least artistically talented person I knew. However, I decided to try making something after buying my first set of watercolors in the summer of 2012. Since then, I think I have gotten better over time. Other times, uhmm they're ok! But, I could never have anticipated the enjoyment I now get from painting! It's wonderful! In 2013, using my paintings as a background for new handmade products, I began selling my own line of products called INTENTIONS. I currently sell magnets, jewelry, paperweights and other inspirational handmade gifts at etsy.com/shop/InspiretoEmpower as well as at craft shows. I will be expanding my line going forward as well as continue to share what inspires me, my teaching of EMPOWERMENT ESSENTIALS.
