Finally a free weekend with no plans? Let’s do a DIY art project 😂
I’ve been wanting to make this DIY artwork ever since seeing ‘s tutorial. Finally the big blank wall behind our bed stared at me hard enough and I had to do it! Such an easy project and it’s something special Alex and I created together. I’m pretty proud of it!! Check out highlights for the easy step by step 🤗

Oh hey! It’s been a minute! This past year has been full of change for us- getting engaged and moving to Northern California to name a few things!! 😍😍 We’ve been busy with life but with a new house, we have an excuse for more DIY projects.

We have been redecorating our guest bedroom and needed a new dresser. Acquired this solid wood piece and tried a new technique using Easy Off to remove the old varnish. It worked.. kind of, but still had to do an hour or two of sanding to achieve this rustic look. Added a single coat of Poly for protection and voilà! This will not be in a high traffic area so one coat did the job but kept that exposed wood feel.

Oh and how beautiful are the new handles?? I was truly nervous how this would turn out but I love it!

🖤 $65.00 on FB marketplace for dresser and matching mirror
🖤 Used EasyOff to remove varnish, then hand sanded remaining varnish.
🖤 One coat of Poly, lightly sanded.
🖤 New hardware purchased on Amazon for about ~$30.
🖤🖤 Total project cost using leftover supplies: $100.00!

Tell us what you think! Slide for the befores!! PS we will be updating the matching mirror as well, but with it on top you can really see the difference this update made!

Reveal time!!! The credenza/sideboard we’ve been working on for *cough*months*cough* is finally complete!
We snagged this awesome sturdy wood piece for free via Facebook last year and had this exact vision for it since day one. I had a feeling I was going to fall in love with it and want to keep it and sure enough.. it has a new home in our living room 🤍.

🖤 Free find!
🖤 Used our new HomeRight Finish Max Paint Sprayer gun - game changer!!
🖤 We mixed about four leftover white paint remnants to save money and not waste paint ♻️. Our mixed color turned out perfect! And zero cost!
🖤 Wood top restained with Special Walnut
🖤 New hardware purchased on Amazon for about ~$60.
🖤🖤 Total project cost using leftover supplies: $60.00!

We put a lot of love into this one! What do you all think??....

We are super proud of this before and after!! Our friends are keeping us busy with custom restoration projects and we finished this coffee table right before Christmas. We’ve been working with so many faux wood pieces lately so we LOVE when we can get our hands on a piece made out of real wood like this one! Tell us what you think about how the two toned wood top turned out! ....

Thanks to our friend Leslie for trusting us with this special custom restoration piece! This chess board was a family heirloom needing some TLC and Leslie wanted to surprise her hubby with it for Christmas. After some sanding, Restor-a-Finish, and Shellac we were able to bring it back to life! It’s so rewarding knowing this can now last for future generations 🥰....

She’s finally complete!! Presenting our new outdoor L shaped couch! 😍 Thank you TikTok for brainwashing us with a 10 second video that led to this 🤣 We love the final product but not gonna lie, considering Alex pitched this as being practically free, this cost more than we expected! We used leftover wood we had lying around.. but that was only enough for half the sectional, which led to a Lowe’s trip for more wood, which led to buying a miter saw, more paint.. and new cushions... but in the end still cheaper than buying! Can’t wait to cuddle up on this next to our fire pit this winter!
Now.. I feel like this space needs an outdoor rug. Any suggestions? Are they worth giving the space more life or are they impossible to keep clean? Let us know in the comments! 👍🏻

This dresser was a true rags to riches come up! It was falling apart and left on the side of the road for trash but we somehow saw it’s potential and tossed it in our car. In all honesty this was a bit of a cheapo dresser BUT I’m excited to say we’ve given it new life and avoided the landfill. It is now sold! How do you think the distressed edges turned out?

What a treat to get to bring these antique Stakmore folding rattan chairs back to life(x5 of them)! Our best guess based on the tags is they are around 40-50 years old, so cool!! Our good friend Sarah trusted us to update these and bring her vision to life and if we do say so ourselves, they turned out AMAZING! Previous owners mentioned they had been passed down for many generations and we’re thankful to be a part of their history.
