Show & Tales Building deeper connections, community & legacy one story of stuff at a time 🤲 You know that old letter you read over and over that makes you feel good?

Or the ones your parents wrote to one another during the Korean War? What about that picture of your grandparents that inspires you every time you feel like giving up? Or the one of you with that diploma that reminds you how far you’ve come… or that instrument your father gave you when you were 17 which he received from his father when he was young? Food, clothing, paintings, jewelry etc.... Bring these & any other object that has a story to show and tell. Remember you don't have to show & tell... you can just look & listen. Come for the whole time or just a little while. Bring your friends & learn more about their life! Origin story: Show & Tell was conceived of while at a friend’s storytelling event Tell it: Brooklyn in the fall of 2011. Their rules: focus on a theme, 5 minutes, can’t have a “prop” & can’t read from it. But what about all those photos, documents, memorabilia, objects that tell a story? Show & Tell (BK) was “born” at Branded Saloon in the spring of 2012 in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn but by the spring of 2013 they were taking place at 2 other locations in Manhattan. The rest is history…
