More applications vs. less and better-targeted applications...

There is a difference.

More applications says: “I hope something works.”

Better-targeted applications say: “I know what role I’m targeting, I know what keywords matter, I know my resume matches, and I’m tracking what happens next.”

That is strategy.

If you are applying to 50, 100, or 200 jobs and nothing is moving, do not just increase the number.

-Fix the process.
-Pick the right roles.
-Find the keywords.
-Score the resume.
-Apply early.

If you are applying and nobody is calling you back, I need you to stop assuming the problem is always your experience.

Sometimes the problem is that your resume doesn't match the job posting.

- Not because you are unqualified.
- Not because you have nothing to offer.

But because the words inside your resume do not clearly match the words the employer is using.

If the job posting keeps repeating words like:

Billing, claims, patient, systems, EHR, documentation, revenue cycle, medical records, coding, and compliance

…and your resume does NOT include those words when they accurately reflect your experience, your resume may not look like a strong match.

This is why applying to more jobs is not always the answer.

Sometimes the answer is applying better.

⏰ Timing matters more than people think.

If you keep applying to jobs that were posted 30, 60, or 90 days ago, you may already be late to the process.

That does not mean you are not qualified.

It may mean your timing is working against you.

A stronger job search means paying attention to:

-When the job was posted
-Whether your resume matches the role
-Whether the qualifications actually fit
-Whether your keywords are aligned
-Whether you are applying with intention

The goal is not to apply to everything.

The goal is to apply to the right roles, with the right resume, at the right time.

Something is gonna come through” is not a job search strategy.

Especially if you keep using the same resume that is not getting you interviews.

❌More applications will not fix a resume problem.
❌More applications will not fix a keyword problem.
❌More applications will not fix a timing problem.
❌More applications will not fix an interview problem.
