Dang Brave Girl Brave Jewelry for life's Mountains and Valleys, created to carry you across Rivers and through Forests. I share that with you because it's important.

I started making jewelry after my son Jesse died in 2011. Life changing important. I think it became some sort of therapy and way of coping. As I learn to live with that loss I can tell you that I am being transformed. It is wholly and fully through the GRACE OF GOD that I am brave. I certainly don't feel like it at times but I am blessed with my other talented, brave son Tucker, an amazing family

, a posse of supportive, loving friends and a husband who loves me more than I deserve. Thank you for being here and I wish you well.

Last night as the sun was going down, I took advantage of it and got some quick shots of 5 new pairs of earrings. Sometimes you just want to freeze that magical moment in time as it transitions from day to night.

The Royston Ribbon pairs I shared late yesterday are all about those 'river' stones and these all silver sweeties are reminders to keep shining your light.

I love that last bit of light....

And it was a surprisingly special blessing on these new earrings I finished today. 3 pairs of the best Royston Ribbon Turquoise... which also happens to be my favorite Turquoise.

I'll write up some listings for them tomorrow ☀️.

Good morning....

Working on some larger style rings, with men in mind 😉. Chunky, wide bands, some Live Edge, some layered, all awesome.
These, of course don't have to be for Dad/Husband/etc (upcoming Father's Day) .... but they are all bigger rings sizes (10 & up)... for those of us who have accommodating fingers 😉.

I'll be taking a few to .town.carlsborg if you're local and a few will be available at DBG soon.

A fresh sheet of silver has always made me smile before..... but the funny thing is that I'm so used to recycling my own silver that cutting into this smooth, shiny, perfect piece feels kinda weird. I'll get over it but there is definitely something extra special about the love that goes into working your own silver.

Apparently I have a mind for sets and pairing things together....I didn't plan for this but once I got rolling I definitely followed the lead.
I can also appreciate 'simple' looking pieces, the kind you reach for often because they ride well with just about anything and yet they still have meaning 💙.

Feathers, turquoise and sentiment... for when life feels extra heavy and complicated.... sweet, simple pieces to carry you through.

Never Forgotten ~
I have a couple handfuls of sea glass, collected on an anniversary of my son's passing. We walked a local beach for an hour to get to a spot that held this treasure, waiting for me I believe.
I have rarely used any of the pieces I found on those special days but every once in awhile, it's meant to be.
I also tried my hand at 'engraving' again, without 'proper' tools, just with what I had, and I love the result on that chunky silver feather.
