BREMEN, Ind. -- The Bremen Village Shops opened in downtown Bremen this weekend, debuting a new nine-shed outdoor marketplace at 125 East Plymouth Street built to house local small businesses.

I am here to say social media is a beast if you let it be.

I had all these expectations in my mind of how I wanted to capture the ribbon cutting and grand opening weekend. Some of it I captured. Some of it I didn’t. But the truth is, all of those ideas went right out the window when I was standing in line for a cup of ice from my new favorite coffee shop and saw one of my friends walking toward me.

She drove all the way from Detroit to surprise me.

I literally screamed her name, wrapped my arms around her neck, and instantly got goosebumps. In that moment, the photos, videos, and content didn’t matter. What mattered was the love, support, and friendship standing right in front of me.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments are the ones that never make it onto a perfectly curated social media post.

Tonight was a special one. 🤍

The ribbon-cutting ceremony officially kicked off the 2026 season at Bremen Village Shops, and standing alongside so many talented small business owners was a moment I won’t soon forget.

After 11 years of pop-up markets, events, and setting up shop one weekend at a time, it’s hard to put into words what this opportunity means. To be part of the very first season of Bremen Village Shops feels both humbling and exciting, and I’m incredibly grateful to be on this journey.

A huge thank you to my husband for capturing these smiles tonight as we received our custom shop signs. Special thanks to Amber of for designing them, Kent Koontz for the beautiful handmade frames, and Madison Manufacturing for creating the sign holders. So many hands, hearts, and talents came together to make this vision a reality.

As I looked around tonight, I couldn’t help but think about all the people, volunteers, sponsors, board members, and community supporters who have poured their time and energy into creating something truly special for Bremen.

The doors officially open this weekend, and I can’t wait to welcome you into Shop #2 and begin creating memorable moments together.
