Roxy: we worried about you. You be doing some strange things, even for you!

Mom: 🙄 (thinking this ought to be good) what strange things am I doing

Molly: you let people steal your hair. That not normal

Simon: after working in the yard/garden, you took a bath. Ok shower, with no one telling you to or picking you up and putting you in that water.

Roxy: you Advil and tywenol and say it your for dinner tizer. How can dat stuff be an a tizer, it be medicines. Dat just weird.

Molly: than after that you put that hot thing on your back

Mom: you mean my heating pad?

Molly: yeah that thing

Simon: one of these things ok maybe be even two but all together. It makes us worry

Roxy: that's why this invention

Mom: (giggling) I think you mean an intervention

Roxy: that's what me said

Molly: me not knows you well enough yet, but me agree with Simon and Roxy.

Molly: I love you 3. But Mom is ok. I'm not as young as I used to be

Roxy: yeah you be pretty old!

Mom: that's enough of your moxy Miss Roxy.
My arthritis had been really bothering me and with planting and working on the garden I'm trying to prevent not being able to move tomorrow.

Molly: what about the hair stealing?

Mom: Molly you will learn I didn't like to fuss with my hair or anything. So with the very short haircut I won't have to fuss at all with my hair. Plus my hair was getting long and annoying me. Also it's going to start to get pretty hot. The short hair helps to keep me cool.

Molly: oh I get it, just like the groomer make my hair bery short to keep me cool

Mom: yes exactly. Let me guess Roxy started this?

Simon & Molly: yes

Roxy: in me defense. Me lubs you and me worried. You be so stressed at work.

Hey it me Molly. Me not know what going on with da weather and Mother Nature. Its been very nice with comfy temps and sun.

Today, it's like March!! Sun and clouds its in the upper 50s!! It's also super windy 25-40mph making it feel like 50-52 degrees. It wained a little too and maybe more wain later. Dis be nuts!!!

You know what else is nuts. Da lady went out for a little bit and when her got home me not recognize her!! All her hair got stolen!! See the before and after pikshurs below.

We were gonna work in the garden today, but it's too cold and windy. Probably tomorrow when it posed to be normal sunny and 70s

WHY WE SHOULD NOT SAY HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

It is generally considered inappropriate to say "Happy Memorial Day" because the holiday is a solemn day of remembrance for military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice, rather than a joyful celebration.

Why Language Matters: It's a Day of Mourning: Memorial Day was established to honor the fallen, not the living troops. For Gold Star families and veterans, the day is rooted in tragic loss.

The "Happy" Disconnect: You wouldn't wish someone a "happy funeral," and because Memorial Day is a national day of mourning and reflection, a cheerful greeting can feel deeply disrespectful to those who have lost loved ones in service.

Different from Other Holidays: Armed Forces Day celebrates those currently serving, and Veterans Day honors all who have served. Memorial Day is strictly reserved for those who did not make it home.

What to Say Instead: Rather than a cheerful greeting, it is more respectful to use phrases that acknowledge the gravity of the day, such as:

"Have a meaningful Memorial Day."

"Wishing you a reflective Memorial Day."

"We remember our heroes."

"Have a safe and thoughtful Memorial Day."

Hello friends it's me Sir Simon.
Mom has explained to us what Memorial Day is all about. We are thankful for the brave men, women, dogs and horses that fought so we can enjoy our freedoms. So as you go to parades, have cookouts out whatever. Please remember what today is all about. It's to remember and honor those that made the ultimate sacrifice. This is why we never say Happy Memorial Day.

Hey it me Roxy. So Mom lady has been off for 3 days, her off morrow too. On Friday it be cool, but sunny so we goes for a nice, long walk. Den her went and buys flower plants for da yard and beggie plants.

Guess what? Since den it be raining all da time! It also be cold, it be in the low 50s. Mom lady eben out the heat back on!

What be funny, Mom lady spended da day yesterday putting winter clothes away and getting da summer clothes out.

We supposed to plant stuff, cooks on da grill and sits outside. Today Mom lady so laundry den her reading some and do sumftin called binge watching TV show. All we know her been watching da same show Da Pit.

Yesterday we all nappy eben, Mom lady. It may happens today too, see da picture 💤💤

It gonna be rainy tomorrow too. Weez wants walkies.

Oh meez forgots to tells you, me been doing sumftin called bonding wif Mom lady. Me been wanting to climb into her laps. At night, me eben cuddles up next to her to sweep. Me not do dat before. All dis been gibing her dem leaky eyes. Me not mean to do dat. Mom lady told me dey be good leaky eyes. Me confoosed dat der be good and bad leaky eyes.

Me gonna go help Mom lady make her cup of tea.

Today is Rescue Dog Day! I'm so grateful for all of my rescued pups: Norton, Ziggy, Penny, Simon, Buttons, Roxy and Molly.

They have all enriched my life in so many ways. I've gotten through so much thanks to them.

There are so, so many dogs in shelters and rescue organizations that need and deserve a second chance and a good, loving home. Trust me a rescue/shelter dog is so incredibly grateful to get adopted. I've been lucky to get amazing dogs. Some dogs just need more time, patience and understanding. They sometimes take longer to trust.

If looking for a new pup remember to adopt not shop.

Norton, Ziggy, Penny, Simon, Buttons, Roxy and Molly I love you all so much. You are my 🌍 and my❤️

Good Wednesday evening from me Sir Simon.

Oh my doggy was it hot today!! Mom took us out for a walk very early this morning when it was beautiful out.

Then it got super hot and super humid. Now we're under a severe thunderstorm warning for now and then a watch till 9pm. Winds of up to 60mph, thunder, lightning maybe even some hail.

I'm good with storms. Roxy is ok as long as she's next to me or Mom. We aren't sure how Molly will do. She's not a fan of other normal loud noises so we're guessing she won't like the thunder.

Tomorrow is going to only be in the upper 50s after 95 today. That's ridiculous crazy.

Mom is off for 4 days and guess what, it's either going to be chilly at only 55-60 or it's going to be raining all day.

Did you know that today is National Rescue Dog Day? Mom says she isn't sure what life would look like without ever having adopted any of us. That includes Norton, Ziggy, Penny, Buttons, me, Roxy and Molly.

Please remember to adopt and not shop.

Ok looks like storms are getting close so we're going to go get snuggly with Mom.
