What an incredibly beautiful day in Madison, IN at the Chautauqua! I took these pics early morning before things got busy. I had my trunk show set outside of Kristy’s lovely shop K. Sullivan Art & Home and there were plenty of people meandering up and down the sidewalks all day. *A big thank you Kristy for supporting my dream!* I had many compliments and sales which gave me the feels. As an artist, when you create something and put it out to the world, you never know how others will respond, or IF they will. Creating is therapeutic and soul-healing, losing yourself as you let the stresses of the day take a back seat and just allow your right brain and hands take over…painting small images on charms, creating colored resin, cutting, embossing and shaping leather. I balance what the latest trends are from lots of research along with some of my own creative pieces. I learn what people are looking for from my trunk shows, too. Ultimately, if it doesn’t pass the quality “would I wear this” test, then it gets tossed or scrapped. I appreciate (more than you know) every single like, follow, share, purchase, compliment and feedback as an artist and small business. Oh…and I also handpainted my sandwich board since I used to paint signs!
