Ok, this garnet necklace didn't even make it to a photo shoot before it sold 😅

But I will be getting more made - especially for my next market on November 7th in Arroyo Grande (please hold off El Niño!)

And...uh, can we point out how amazing it looks with that peacock pearl floating necklace? I pulled a couple with those fall burgundy hues to go with the gorgeous garnets. 🌟

And I guess I need to make a Sterling silver option? Just so in love with gold!!

Honestly, I never know what to do for videos on listings in the Etsy shop 😆 And I think it shows.

This is the last pair of baroque pearl earrings I have - didn't get to source any new pearls at the show last month so I'll try again in December.

I'm not gonna lie, September is going to be rough.

My natural bend toward thinking of what is lost tells me we can't go to the SB Sea Glass & Ocean Arts and that bums me out because I love connecting with fellow makers (as a cheerleader - they're all in another league) and occasionally a customer. And if I really dig myself into a hole, I'm sad I can't be a vendor. Like, ever. I love what I create and wish I could share more!

But I'll try something new and focus on what is good in life:

💚 Yes, I'm the primary wage earner with a chronically ill spouse, but I can work from home (and thus not ask for time off to take him to the two surgical procedures this month and one doctor 180 miles away.)

🧡 That chronically ill spouse is also perpetually wonderful - now and then he gets to create something amazing and is hands down my biggest cheerleader ("that looks awesome, babe" is an oft said phrase around here).

🩵 Unlike more and more people, we're still able to pay our medical bills - sure, mostly by soul crushing accounting work - and the little flow of cash from my Etsy shop allowed me to splurge on some ready made ravioli for dinner tonight (since Jon fasted until after 3 for today's procedure!!). (By splurge, I mean $4.99 Rana Short Rib ravioli on sale 😅)

💜 I get to work with pretty things now and then, like these abalone and pearl earring custom requests. These were way more fun than the case production and sales analysis I was asked to do recently.

And you know, in a world going more and more mad, that's not bad.
