Just wanted to share an update. Since after Grasshopper's passing, I kind of took a break. The most I've done in the past few days was just feed everybody and make sure they're okay. I was not ready to clean out his cage, so I left it sitting until I was ready. But when I realized I'd never be ready, I sucked it up, put on my big girl pants, and got the job done, along with the rest of the cages attached to his just to be sure. Just so everyone is aware, I did have feed bags in between every cage, so his urine never went into contact with his neighbors' cages. If E. cuniculi was the correct diagnosis, his urine could've infected my entire row of bucks had I not preemptively put feed bags between every cage. I honestly did that for the simple fact that bucks are known to spray at each other, so I was just trying to keep it sanitary and cause less stress, as they would probably be fighting through the bars, but who knew that it ended up saving the rest of my bucks' lives 🥹
Thank you to those of you who freely shared their similar experiences with this pain and condolences. It made me feel a lot less lonely in the pain I felt ❤️🥹
