Flooding at the bottom of the Canyon has wiped out the waterline that services the South Rim, leaving many workers facing reduced hours and sudden hardship. Their families will need food, water, and community support. If you'd like to donate at this time, please bring non-perishable food items and bottled water to the Market of Dreams, 2136 N. Fourth Street, Flagstaff 86004 (in the same plaza as Fratelli Pizza), Friday, September 4th, 11am to 3pm. We'll make sure everything gets delivered directly to the workers who need it. Made from steel drums by Haitian craftspeople in the section of Port-au-Prince, Haiti called Croix des Bouquets, this sun is three dimensional with a diameter of 10 inches. It has the natural patina that is prevalent in used oil drums rather than sheet metal. It has a small hook for hanging.

The process of turning sheets of metal into beautiful art is all done by hand. Steel drums used to transport oil into the capital of Haiti are cut, the oil is burned off to clean the metal, and then flattened in order to create stunning, upcycled art. Hang this piece inside or outside.
