NEVER MAKE THESE MISTAKES WHEN SELLING YOUR GOLD! 🚨

Before you sell your gold, make sure you actually know what you have. Here are 3 common mistakes we see all the time:

1️⃣ Don’t automatically trust the hallmark.
Just because a piece is stamped 14K, 18K, etc. doesn’t always mean that’s the actual purity of the gold. Stamps can be inaccurate or even misleading. Always have your gold properly tested.

2️⃣ Don’t confuse total weight with gold weight.
Large stones can add significant weight to a piece without adding much value. The total weight of the jewelry isn’t necessarily the amount of gold you’re being paid for.

3️⃣ Don’t rely solely on online pricing.
Searching online or asking ChatGPT for a price can be helpful for general information, but it doesn’t replace having the actual piece examined. The value depends on things like purity, weight, stones, brand, condition, and whether the piece has additional collectible or designer value.
