NEW YORK - 🚨New Watch Alert 🚨I’d like to welcome a new addition to the collection. This is my new (to me) Roadster XL GMT, which I picked up this week from an excellent watch shop called . It’s always a bit nerve racking to buy a watch online sight unseen, but Armen and his staff were honest, professional and kind and this beautiful watch was exactly as advertised and sold to me at a fair price. I would recommend Beverly Hills Watch to anyone looking for “Previously Enjoyed” fine timepieces. For those who don’t follow Cartier history, the Roadster was produced from about 2002 to 2012 but was discontinued until this week, when Cartier announced the return of the Roadster at in Geneva. I actually got this watch two days before the announcement, so I guess I was ahead of the news. This version, the GMT, is not coming back, at least not yet, so I think it’s pretty special. The silver dial evokes a race car from the 1950’s. I took it on my road trip (well, train trip) this week to NYC for some late night CNN appearances. Afterwards, I found a new late night ramen spot in Times Square called .nyc. Pictured here is their Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu, which is a classic bowl that has stood the test of time, much like my new Roadster. Peace and Love. Watches and Ramen. ⌚️🍜🙏

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Did you know there was a new ramen spot in Georgetown? Neither did I! And I live in Georgetown! opened up a branch right on Winsconsin Avenue and I am HERE FOR IT. I had the Tonkotsu Black and it was On Point. The ramen came piping hot, with rich broth, firm noodles (hey now) and tasty toppings. I brought along my trusty 30th Anniversary Limited Edition FROGMAN. If it’s good enough for the Navy Seals to take into an underwater battle, it should hold up as I dive into this delicious bowl of Japanese goodness. Given that this is now the ramen shop closest to where I live, I figure I’ll be back again soon. Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all who observe. And to everyone else, Peace and Love. Watches and Ramen. ⌚️🍜🔥

NEW YORK - Ramen on the run. The Moynihan Train Hall near Penn Station has a lot of good food options. Usually I go for the “Works” at H&H Bagel or head to Pastrami Queen. But on this particular trip I decided to mix it up and try , a satellite outpost of their midtown shop. Now, the rule of thumb is that train station ramen is great in Japan and very risky anywhere else. But I am risk taker by nature, so i bought the ticket and took the ride. And I’m happy to report this was a very solid and satisfying (paper) bowl of ramen. The broth was rich. The noodles were firm. The chashu was well cured. I kept an eye on my train departure time with my trusty Tank Solo XL. This watch is an icon. Full of history but very much relevant today. Always the right choice when I’m in a New York state of mind. I like to think that Daniel Patrick Moynihan would have approved. Peace and love. Watches and ramen. ⌚️🍜🙏
