Pause, reflect, reassess, redirect, and when ready continue.

After twenty-five years of non-stop work at the bench, my body asked me in a non so gently way to Stop.

Being diagnosed with an accute case of coccydynia and cervical dislocation ( C2 and C7) makes it a challenge for me to sit down at my bench. No worries, I am working on getting better.!.

These past months have been a challenge for me since I have never known how to stop. But this was a blessing in disguise. I had time to work on myself in a mental, spiritual, and physical way.

Giving myself time to breathe was a mysterious and an unknown path to walk. What have I done instead of working eighty hours per week? I have shared quality time with my family and friends. I have travelled to revisit places that I hold tight in my heart and discovered new cities that have brought me pure joy. I have fed my soul with art, music and literature. I have shared laughter and conversations with strangers in the streets.

Most importantly, I have given myself the opportunity to stay present on this journey called life .

My journey of total recovery isn't over yet, but I am choosing to trust my process.

When a butterfly emerges from a cocoon, it needs to do it at its own time. Otherwise, its wings wouldn't have formed fully, and they would not be able to fly.
