My husband Brad and I had been creating and repurposing for several years. I have my own Hair Salon, and Brad was a contractor/carpenter. I always had envisioned us working together once the kids were grown. He is the organized one, perfect , precise, always knows where everything is, I am the visionary, not to organized, creatively messy, work best in a mess kind of gal... Opposites truly attrac

A little about how this page got started, thank you for supporting us!! Brad had been the "honey do" guy for a lot of my salon clients so it was pretty easy to get some jobs lined up. We got everything figured out for him to start his own carpentry business. He had many talents in woodworking/ cabinetmaking, had worked in various fields that prepared him for this journey. We had a few jobs lined up...but we had a trip first. Our family was getting ready to go on a mission trip, we needed to raise money for. Brad decided he would make some crosses from all the scrap wood in the shop (he kept all pieces that most would have burnt)These crosses were all sizes , shapes, colors, some with battered and blemished wood, made beautiful again and into something else....my mind was spinning with thoughts about using old wood and pieces, and refining them, changing them into something else. I put them I the hair salon, not with a price but as a donation to help with our expenses. I also wanted to send a message that I learned from my husband, " There is no junk wood" no scrap to small to be used for something" I added little notes to the repurposed crosses to remind people that they too can be used for another purpose, that God didn't make any "junk", and that broken people can be made beautiful again. Just because they were a little tarnished, or had a scarred past, they still matter and can be loved into someone beautiful again. The crosses were a hit. Rescued n Redeemed was born

I remember a couple years ago when our business was growing, We were having success , making changes, and by all appearances, it seemed like our best year yet.
But deep inside, I felt restless. I felt unsettled. It was as if nothing was ever quite enough.
Looking back now, I know exactly what that feeling was.
God was lovingly calling me back to the beginning—to those days when we prayed for a blessing, something to fulfill Brads heart. He was reminding me that He is the One who brings the people, and He is the One who can take them away. Not me.
There is nothing special about us without Him. Every good thing in this business has come from His hand.

My prayer is that we never stop loving what we do, that we never do it for the wrong reasons. That we never become so focused on growth that we forget the God who made it possible.
At the end of the day, this journey is about so much more than sales, numbers, or success. It’s about growing together, encouraging one another, loving people well, and remembering that every person we meet is walking a unique journey of their own. 💖

As we continue to grow together, please know this: we care deeply about you. We are grateful for you. And we love every customer far beyond the business we do together.
