If I can’t make jokes about my own cancer, I’d never get through it. Seriously though, real talk. There are proven & effective things you can do to reduce your risk of breast cancer. Some of them are shocking, and you’ve may haven’t even heard of one of the biggest/easiest because it’s a HUGE money maker. It should have a black box warning on it, but the government won’t do it bc, well, it makes them money. Can anyone guess what it is? Really though, I’m here to tell you: if you have breast cancer, it’s not your fault. Let me say that one more time. It’s not your fault. You know what else? IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT. That will never not be true. Every cancer dr I’ve had has drilled that into my brain, and I finally believe it. Knowing ways to reduce your risk is smart, but I know women who’ve done every thing on the list their entire lives, have no genetic component, and still got breast cancer. It’s NOT YOUR FAULT. Let go of guilt, self-blame, & shame. It’s not your fault!
