My love for StarWars stemmed mostly from my love and admiration of Joseph Campbell - an American literature professor who worked in comparative mythology and comparative religion. George Lucas was inspired by Campbell and based the Star Wars saga upon the book The
Hero with a Thousand Faces. I'm fascinated by the mysterious Kyber Crystals that were scattered on planets across the galaxy and grew in nature. They were sought after and found by force sensitive Jedi and Sith and used in the construction of their lightsabers. I like to view my collection of gems and stones in a similar way - sometimes they speak to you and draw your interest in different unexplainable ways. One definition of Alchemy is a power or process that changes or transforms something in a mysterious or impressive way. Creation Process:
My copper jewelry are created by electro forming. Electroforming is a blend of both art and science. My copper jewelry gets plated with the use of low voltage electricity. A typical application to a piece of jewelry can take anywhere between two hours to 24+hours. If preferred or requested, they are then oxidized with black or blue patina and finally polished. Most of my copper jewelry is left natural and untreated unless requested by the client to be sealed. The copper is not sealed so you can benefit from the healing properties of copper. When copper mixes with skin sweat, it oxidizes and sometimes leaves a greenish hue on your skin. This is chelated copper which does not absorb into the skin, rather it stays behind and leaves a stain. That said, copper stains aren’t permanent and can be washed off with soapy water. Chelated copper to have health , holistic and spiritual benefits. Wearing copper jewelry helps allow small amounts of copper into the body. Proponents of copper jewelry also claim to experience symptom relief from circulation issues and arthritis. Some also believe there are holistic and spiritual benefits to wearing copper. Copper symbolizes love and balance. It is believed to balance both the body and spirit and was used to heal and protect during ancient times. To clean and polish your copper jewelry, please use the enclosed polishing cloth to wipe away dirt and give it a good shine :)
To keep the jewelry from tarnishing while not being worn, store it in the jewelry canister along with the anti tarnishing tab which are included with all my orders.
