A new-to-me old book arrived in the mail today. I came across Alice Meynell’s poetry online recently and it definitely cast a spell. Her poem Builder of Ruins is inspiring my next project.

I had to make a separate post to honor this Dawn Redwood that is behind my tent at Winterthur. There are actually two of them, side by side. These gardens are so incredibly special. There’s much to see and marvel at, around every corner.

If you’re in the area (or even if you aren’t), today is the last day for the Artisan market. 150 artists and makers are dotted around the gardens selling the most beautiful things. There are shuttles running all day to drop you off at all the vendor locations throughout the property, so you don’t have to walk very far. Food, cocktails, live music, and access to the galleries.

Tickets are being sold at the gate today.
