A few months ago, I was approached by an amazing organization that has touched my heart, Operation Remount Corporation Charity Auction(OR).
OR pairs first responders and veterans with wild mustangs. Together, the duo learn how to overcome trauma and build a healthy relationship.
After learning just a little about them, I couldnt refuse the opportunity to give back.
Credit to my daughter for my amazing, freehanded, horse head.
Adorn with brass fairy light, and a signature paper rose…
I chose poppies for this piece based on the historical connection between poppies and our military.
The red poppy came to symbolize the blood shed during battle following the publication of the wartime poem “In Flanders Fields.”
