I’m looking forward to teaching in Georgia this summer. We will be creating a cloisonné poison ring! No enameling experience necessary but basic sawing and setting skills are required to create the ring. All of these pieces are wearable as a ring or a pendant. Come join me at William Holland Lapidary School in Young Harris Georgia this summer. July 12-17.

I’m jumping out of my comfort zone here but I have some new followers and it’s probably a good time to introduce myself. I’m going into my fourth year of business creating my own designs and WOW, I’m really happy I took this plunge. My background as a designer and goldsmith for a fine jewelry store has served me well but this is where I belong! Thanks to all the lovely people who have supported me. My first workshop of the year! This class is for students with some soldering experience. We will be taking a deep dive into setting gems with confidence. Tips on determining bezel height, setting tips, patinas and polishing tricks. Hope to see you there!

The Enamelist Society is sponsoring an exhibition, INSECTUM ELECTRUM during NEW YORK CITY JEWELRY WEEK 2025.
I AM BEYOND EXCITED TO HAVE MY WORK INCLUDED IN THIS EXHIBITION!
The dates for this, and many other jewelry exhibitions and talks, will be November 17 through 23, 2025. The show will be at the Pratt Galleries in Brooklyn New York and will explore the world of arthropods and other small invertebrates through the lens of enameled jewelry. We will celebrate the intricate beauty of insects, arachnids, butterflies and moths, brought to life in jewelry featuring stunning detail and craftsmanship. The Enamelist Society member Amy Roper Lyons will give a talk about the show on Monday November 17 at 3pm in the Pratt Library.
The Enamelist Society has asked about 16 current members who work with insect imagery to submit works. The work will uniquely showcase the many compelling ways our enamelists explore their passions with colored glass and metal.

Thank you Mt Gretna! It was an honor to win a Judges Choice award. I’m taking some time to reflect and rest. Sketching, reading and biking. Much needed after a busy summer. I hope everyone is taking some time off to recharge…feeling thankful!
