Shot then Worn - Custom-Made Firearm Casing Jewelry Hand-made and uniquely crafted jewelry created from expelled shotgun shells and 9mm bullet casings. This was the catalyst for my new adventure!

My husband and I took our niece out target shooting at our local firing range this summer. Afterwards, she was picking up the shells she expended and when we asked her why she was doing this she said she wanted to make jewelry out of them. She has a strong desire to be a police officer and wanted to have a keepsake of her experience. I grabbed some shotgun shells we had expended and brought them h

ome. After many, many, many hours of trial and error with a hacksaw, grinder and hand-drill (I thankfully now have a drill press!), I created my shotgun shell bracelets! I am getting quite a bicep and tricep buildup on my right arm (I can saw a 10 gauge shotgun shell disc off in 60 strokes-yes, I counted) and am literally in love with each piece of jewelry I create. I am now in the process of creating a necklace pendent and an anklet (20 gauge shells are a bit difficult to manage but I am getting there). If anyone is interested in buying a shotgun shell bracelet, I just need to know what color of brass (yellow or silver) and the color of the center Swarovski crystal (one color or a choice of up to 4).
