Five years ago today we moved to Costa Rica.

And for the last six days we have been back on Canadian soil, joining Jeff's family to celebrate his Dad's life, hugging people we love, sharing stories over food and just being present with the people who matter most to us, our family and friends!

Jeff Kearn hasn't stood on Ontario ground in five years. That's a long time. And watching him reconnect with family and old friends this week has been something I won't forget.

For me, I travel back and forth a little more. But there is something about this visit that felt different. Heavier in the best way but fuller!

Grief has a way of pulling people together and reminding you what actually matters.
We came back for loss. But what we found was love everywhere we turned.

To everyone who opened their homes, made us feel welcome, showed up with hugs and stories and warmth….

Finding Balance**

A bracelet inspired by the ongoing practice of finding balance adjusting when life shifts, recognizing when we need to slow down, and knowing when it’s time to move forward again.

At the center, green strawberry quartz is associated with emotional balance, growth, and a gentle connection to the heart. Dragon vein agate brings strength and stability, while azurite malachite is traditionally connected to insight, transformation, and greater self-awareness.

Lilac agate adds a calming influence, encouraging steadiness and reflection, while bloodstone brings grounding, resilience, and courage a reminder of the strength we can draw on when life asks more of us.

A 108-bead hand-knotted mala inspired by the paths we travel, the experiences that shape us, and the importance of staying grounded as life continues to change around us.

At the center, Botswana agate is associated with comfort, stability, and gentle strength — a fitting anchor for a piece created around the journey itself.

Marble brings a sense of strength and steadiness, while orange and yellow banded agate adds warmth, confidence, and an uplifting energy. Unakite jasper is connected to balance, reflection, and gradual personal growth, while silver leaf jasper offers grounding and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Gold-coloured hematite adds another element of stability and strength, complemented by Indonesian spacers that bring warmth and character to the design.

At the center, Tibetan agate is paired with a stainless steel yoga charm, creating an anchor for meditation, breathwork, and reflection. Tibetan eye agate is traditionally associated with protection, awareness, and seeing situations with greater clarity.

Onyx brings grounding, strength, and steadiness, while agate is connected to balance and stability. Natural black lava adds an earthy, grounding quality, complemented by silver-coloured coated lava that brings contrast and texture throughout the design.
