Our story
I work to make beautiful jewellery which enriches the lives of my clients because I love everything about the process. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to do this. Ella Green is giving me the chance to prove that a creative life can be authentic and viable and support my family into the future.
But I want to help more than just my family. We are so fortunate and I know many people feel the same way about their own circumstances. Our families are stable and loving and we have enough to eat. This is why, from October 2017, Ella Green is very happy to be devoting 10% of the profit on every piece sold to the Emerging Voices foundation in Colombia.
Colombia is rich in minerals and gems, producing the finest emeralds in the world. But what good is the extraction of a pretty stone from the earth's crust unless some benefit accrues to the communities in the country the gem was mined in? Emerging Voices sets out to care for those that others have forgotten through food, education and volunteer’s time.
