Sitting and looking at the stones in the motel landscaping, I saw this perfect little stone and picked it up. As I held it in my hand I had the thought, “this is the kind of stone that brought down Goliath”. And the thought continued: sometimes our problems seem too large for us to defeat. Sometimes we feel we are facing giants. But our prayers are like these little stones. As David used this tiny stone to bring down Goliath, God uses our prayers to bring down the impossible. David trusted God to guide his little stone to kill the giant. We need to trust God to defeat what stands against us.

We don’t have to be the storm, we don’t have to calm the storm. Just keep your eyes on the Lord and you can walk above the storm.
