Mesih Iskander began trading in gold currency along with precious commodities by purchasing directly from gold mines as a source and exporting them to England during the Ottoman-ruled Iraq. Half a century later, his son- “Mohammed Mesih Iskander” being mentored by his father continued his interest

in building forward the family business by moving toward the establishment of Adnan Jewellery in 1955.

After the establishment, with the primary focus on precious commodities, Mohammad Mesih lead the success of Adnan Jewellery by earning the exclusive license in Iraq to trade precious metals and gemstones, soon becoming the leading source of distribution in the region by specializing in gold currency, gold bars, pearl’s, watch’s and other wholesale products. Later towards the 1960’s, he was appointed as the Chief Value Officer by the Central Government of Iraq. In the decades which followed, with the success of Adnan Jewellery, Mohammed Mesih expanded its horizons globally in Spain, United States of America, Canada, Kuwait in 1968 and Lebanon in1972 and a Jewelry Manufacturing Factory in Hong Kong during the 1980’s. Adnan Jewellery moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and registered a trade license in 1976. The in house designing and manufacturing of gold and diamond Jewelry was based at a factory, established in Hong Kong during the 80’s. Later towards 1996, by the request of the Government of Dubai, he was invited to establish a jewelry manufacturing factory in Jebel Ali Free Zone. With each strategic move, Adnan Jewellery has earned respect as a master jeweler and a leader in the family owned business. Today, the Iskander family continues the legacy of their grandfather and father with its commitment to excellence and diversification. Being one of the oldest established companies in Dubai, Adnan Jewellery has drawn over 45 years of experience from tradition to drive innovation and push the limits of excellence brought together by the expertise of the family in the Jewelry & Watch Industry. Over the years having appointed Goldsmiths, watchmakers, designers and other specialists with a wide range of skills and knowledge, all brought together by their expertise to reinforce the establishment to provide exceptional products and services. Adnan Jewellery is currently directed by the heirs of Mohammad Iskander, by each of them directing retail stores individually along with a factory in Jebel Ali Free Zone. Managing as a whole, the family has a one-stop centralized diamond Jewelry factory offering products and services locally and Internationally. Through the history, Adnan Jewellery has partnered with events globally by associating with establishments such as Kondo Secondhand from Japan, Private Jewelry shows with Dana Group in Canada or even Artists such as Iranian Diva Darya Dadvar with her marvelous performance at the Dubai Opera. We have also assisted startups companies such as timepiece360 by sharing our knowledge about the watch industry and guiding them at our Dubai Marina Branch at their beginning or even sharing our expertise in luxury watches with North Ladder as well as globally collaborating our jewelry factory services to well-known establishments such as Bvlgari. The family has also planted roots in establishing aluminum product factory, real-estate, auto industry and hospitals.

In 1889 in Ottoman-ruled Iraq, Mesih Iskander founded Adnan Jewellery and began trading in gold currency and precious commodities in the region and purchasing directly from gold mines for export to England. Half a century later Mohammed Iskander continued his father's work. He established Adnan Jewellery as the leading source for trading gold currency, gold bars, pearls, watches and other wholesale products earning the exclusive license to trade precious metals and gemstones in Iraq in 1955 and his eventual appointment as the Chief Value Officer in the Central Government of Iraq in 1960.

The success of Adnan Jewellery propelled expansion into Kuwait (1968), Lebanon (1972), UAE (1976), and Spain, the United States, and Canada in the decades to follow with factories established in Hong Kong and in Jebel Ali Free Zone at the request of the Government of Dubai in 1996.

With each strategic move, Adnan Jewellery has gained power and respect as an industry leader and a strong, family business. Today, the Iskander family continues the work of their grandfather and father with its commitment to excellence and diversification.
