A perfect fit is never an accident. 💍

Behind every ring that sits comfortably on your finger is a little more than meets the eye. It takes experience to understand the metal, precision to measure correctly, and a trained eye to achieve a comfortable fit.

The ring mandrel and sizing tools may look like a collection of keys, but each has its own purpose in the hands of a craftsman. These tools help guide the work, allowing for the careful adjustments that make all the difference to how a ring feels and wears.

For me, jewellery craftsmanship has always been about more than the finished piece. It is about understanding the details, respecting the material, and taking pride in creating something that will be worn and treasured for years to come.

At my workbench, years of experience and the right tools come together to solve practical challenges, including resizing rings that are too tight or too loose.

Is your ring too tight — or too loose?

Sometimes a ring doesn't need replacing — it may simply need to be resized to fit properly again.

Ring resizing, repairs, restoration and more, right here in Grassy Park.

Jewellery doesn’t always need replacing.

Sometimes it just needs a little attention — a repair, a polish, a resize, a new stone or a bit of restoration.

That’s what we do at Elwezo’s Jewellery in Grassy Park.

Some jewellery stories begin with a design.

Others begin with trust. 💍

Miss Vida travelled from Doha to Cape Town and, during her visit, brought two special pieces to Elwezo’s Jewellery.

One ring had lost a stone.

The other was a sentimental wedding band that deserved a little extra care.

Together, we looked at the options, discussed what could be done, and Miss Vida placed her trust in Elwezo’s hands.

The missing stone was replaced, and her treasured wedding band was carefully restored.

But the part that stayed with us most was her reaction.

Seeing her sentimental wedding band brought back to life brought tears to her eyes. ❤️

And afterwards, she left us this:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Awesome work done by Elwezo. Really did something beautiful with my wedding band. I'm a very very happy client.”

Thank you, Miss Vida, for trusting us with your treasured pieces.

Safe travels back to Doha tomorrow. ✈️💙

Rose Gold, Yellow Gold or Sterling Silver — every jewellery lover has a side. ✨

There’s no wrong answer — we’d love to know yours.

Which one is your favourite? 💛

Sometimes the perfect piece doesn't need to be designed from scratch. ❤️ Sometimes it just needs to be made yours.

B chose this half-eternity ring from Elwezo's collection. But she had her own vision for it.

She wanted to take the design she loved and make it something uniquely hers — with two beautiful touches of colour brought into the centre of the ring.

So the original design became the starting point.

Then came the careful work of customising it and setting each stone, one detail at a time. And this is where we ended up.

A piece from the Elwezo's collection — transformed into something made especially for B.

That's one of the things I love about custom work.

A customer visited our workshop with her mom, whose wedding rings had become too tight to wear.

Rather than simply repairing them, a decision was made to preserve their story in a new way.

The original rings were carefully removed, the gold was melted down, and from that gold a brand-new band was handcrafted for her daughter—a piece that will one day be worn alongside her engagement ring as she begins the next chapter of her own story.

Some things are too precious to leave in a jewellery box.

They deserve to be worn, treasured, and carried forward.

Receiving this message when the ring was collected made our day:

"Good morning Uncle Elwezo 🌸 Thank you so, so much for the ring. It turned out perfect. Thank you. ❤️"

Thank you to every family who entrusts us with their most treasured pieces. It is a privilege to preserve memories through craftsmanship.

A perfect fit doesn't happen by chance. It starts with precision.

Before any ring resizing begins, the exact size is confirmed using a jeweller's ring mandrel.

It may seem like a simple step, but this is where experience makes the difference. Accurate measuring helps determine exactly how much adjustment is needed while preserving the ring's shape, proportions and finish.

Every ring tells a story, and every one deserves the same level of care—whether it's a treasured wedding band, a family heirloom or a custom piece being crafted from the very beginning.

This is just one small part of what happens behind the scenes in our Grassy Park workshop, where craftsmanship comes before shortcuts.

Every great fit starts with the little details.

Before a ring is resized or a bespoke piece is created, it all begins with an accurate measurement.

Taking the time to get the fit right is an important part of the process and helps ensure both comfort and the finished result.

It's one of the many small details that take place behind the scenes in our Grassy Park workshop—where every piece is approached with care, from the first measurement to the final polish.
