My dream collab with Cricut South Africa might make me give up my day job! This mighty little cutting machine is a creative business ideal partner- feels like there is nothing the Cricut Joy Extra can’t do! I’ve spent time playing with all the incredible applications and honestly I haven’t scratched the surface yet- it’s super easy to use- even for a slightly technically challenged mermaid like me, the app takes you through all the steps and there are loads of videos clips with hints, tips and amazing projects. I’ve designed iron on decals for my packaging which I can now personalise! How priceless is that!!!! Don’t you want a Mermaizing and magical piece of jewellery from me with your own personalised packaging???

What do you get when you take a handful of old, unused gold, a huge gift to self, a handful of magic, precious gemstones and two women who have worked over 20yrs on their craft? The process of making a unique piece comes with a belief that you absolutely deserve every mm of it and you hand yourself over to the magic of creation. Sometimes I forget to celebrate the gift of creativity.

There are days when running your own business, wearing a multitude of hats, paying salaries and stressing about marketing makes me want to run away- but I don’t! I have been creating jewellery for 29 and a half years and my clients keep me, doing what I do. They remind me that making beautiful bling brings unique joy that reminds them of who they are, where they come from and that the sky really has no limits.
