Every so often, we get requests that are completely unique, and this one was definitely up there! 🐘

A client in Knysna, with a deep love for elephants and the forest, asked me to create a pendant using elephant dung, bits and pieces from the Knysna forest, and loerie feathers.

I was immediately inspired and couldn’t wait to start!

The design became an “elephant eye”, with the red loerie feathers representing the Knysna sunset, and the green feather the forest floor. Inside the eye lies the elephant dung, delicate moth wings, and a tiny white flower in the corner.

It was such a joy to turn these natural elements and her love for the forest into a truly one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art 🤍

A special add-on piece for Marley’s family 🐾

Marley’s mom decided to include a keychain for her brother, so he could keep a little piece of her close too. We created a beach scene with Marley’s ashes placed gently in the sand, and a tiny paw floating up to heaven.

These small keepsakes can hold so much love, comfort, and meaning.

The ocean was one of her happiest places. The waves, the salty air, and the feeling of adventure 🐾

Her owner wanted to keep that memory close to her heart, so we created this ocean scene with Marley’s ashes placed softly in the sand and within the little paw print.
