Q: Can a person read Quran without a cap? What is the ruling for men and women? A: The Ulema have mentioned that among the aadaab or ettiquette of Quran recitation one is to cover the head. So though it is permissible to read Quran with the head open, it is makrooh (disapproved) because this is contrary to respect. Q: My husband has a facebook account and on there he has female friends, something which I am not totally comfortable with. He says it's nothing personal, just time to time messages or something of that sort. Is this permissible and how can I convince him that it is wrong Islamically? A. Q: Is talaaq given while the wife is in haidh, valid? And are three talaaq issued at once valid? Can a man marry his stepmother? A: 1) The talaaq issued to the wife whilst she is menstruating is valid and binding. 2) Likewise, three talaaq issued at once are valid and binding. 3) It is haraam for a man to marry his father’s wife (step-mother) even after the demise of the father. This is prohibited in verse 22 of Surah Nisaa.
