Psalm 129:2-8

2 "Since my youth they have often attacked me, but they have not defeated me.
3 The plowers plowed my back; they made their furrows long.
4 The Lord is just; he cut the ropes of the wicked."
5 May all who hate Zion be humiliated and turned back!
6 May they be like the grass on the rooftops which withers before one can even pull it up,
7 which cannot fill the reaper's hand, or the lap of the one who gathers the grain!
8 Those who pass by will not say, "May you experience the Lord 's blessing! We pronounce a blessing on you in the name of the Lord ."

Happy Father’s Day to you All

Psalm 103:13-19

13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on his faithful followers.
14 For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay.
15 A person's life is like grass. Like a flower in the field it flourishes,
16 but when the hot wind blows by, it disappears, and one can no longer even spot the place where it once grew.
17 But the Lord continually shows loyal love to his faithful followers, and is faithful to their descendants,
18 to those who keep his covenant, who are careful to obey his commands.
19 The Lord has established his throne in heaven; his kingdom extends over everything.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-7

1 So remember your Creator in the days of your youth - before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you will say, "I have no pleasure in them";
2 before the sun and the light of the moon and the stars grow dark, and the clouds disappear after the rain;
3 when those who keep watch over the house begin to tremble, and the virile men begin to stoop over, and the grinders begin to cease because they grow few, and those who look through the windows grow dim,
4 and the doors along the street are shut; when the sound of the grinding mill grows low, and one is awakened by the sound of a bird, and all their songs grow faint,
5 and they are afraid of heights and the dangers in the street; the almond blossoms grow white, and the grasshopper drags itself along, and the caper berry shrivels up - because man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about in the streets -
6 before the silver cord is removed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is shattered at the well, or the water wheel is broken at the cistern -
7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the life's breath returns to God who gave it.

2 Corinthians 6:13-18

13 Now as a fair exchange - I speak as to my children - open wide your hearts to us also.
14 Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
15 And what agreement does Christ have with Beliar? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever?
16 And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said, "I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."
17 Therefore "come out from their midst, and be separate," says the Lord, "and touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you,

Genesis 37:3-7

3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his sons because he was a son born to him late in life, and he made a special tunic for him.
4 When Joseph's brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated Joseph and were not able to speak to him kindly.
5 Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him even more.
6 He said to them, "Listen to this dream I had:
7 There we were, binding sheaves of grain in the middle of the field. Suddenly my sheaf rose up and stood upright and your sheaves surrounded my sheaf and bowed down to it!"

Luke 24:25-34

25 So he said to them, "You foolish people - how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Wasn't it necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and enter into his glory?"
27 Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things written about himself in all the scriptures.
28 So they approached the village where they were going. He acted as though he wanted to go farther,
29 but they urged him, "Stay with us, because it is getting toward evening and the day is almost done." So he went in to stay with them.
30 When he had taken his place at the table with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
31 At this point their eyes were opened and they recognized him. Then he vanished out of their sight.
32 They said to each other, "Didn't our hearts burn within us while he was speaking with us on the road, while he was explaining the scriptures to us?"
33 So they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem. They found the eleven and those with them gathered together
34 and saying, "The Lord has really risen, and has appeared to Simon!"

33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how fathomless his ways!
34 For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?
35 Or who has first given to God, that God needs to repay him?
36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.

Romans 12:9-13

9 Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil, cling to what is good.
10 Be devoted to one another with mutual love, showing eagerness in honoring one another.
11 Do not lag in zeal, be enthusiastic in spirit, serve the Lord.
12 Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.
13 Contribute to the needs of the saints, pursue hospitality.
