Yes, here are the jewelry pieces we make at Zamani.

Eight of them today, laid out one by one. A coin that once moved through Roman hands. Another that sat in the ground for centuries before anyone saw it again. A key to a door that no longer exists, now resting beside a ring.

Every piece carries something I did not make. I only gave it a new life.

By the time I got to the eighth, the question had changed. It was no longer “can I see them.” It was “can I keep one.”

A pharaoh of Egypt once held what now sits on a wrist.

Struck in silver at Sardis nearly 2,400 years ago, this coin carries Darius II, king of the Achaemenid Empire, crowned and striding forward with spear in hand. We set it in 18K gold, framed with polished gold beads, and closed one end with an amethyst cabochon.

One coin makes one bangle. When it finds its owner, the story is complete.

Look at the other side.

On one side is the ancient silver coin is Helios, the sun god. The other side is a rose, the emblem of the island of Rhodes, whose name is often linked to the Greek word for rose.

We designed the Rose Ruby Moon Necklace so you never have to choose. A crescent of rubies frames the rose, a diamond bail holds the pendant, and the open back lets Helios show through.

The coin is one of one, so this exact necklace exists only once.

I never get used to this part. Laying out sixteen pieces, each one older than most of the buildings behind them, and knowing one of them is about to become someone’s piece.

I think it comes down to five things.

1. Self-expression. The pieces we choose show our style, our values, and the woman we want to be.
2. Confidence. A meaningful piece changes how we carry ourselves.
3. Belonging. A family necklace or a gifted ring ties us to people and places.
4. Memory. Some jewelry holds a moment we want to keep forever.

Alongside Bvlgari and Berney watch, the feature traces how an ancient coin or artefact, centuries or even millennia old, becomes part of someone's own story the moment they choose to wear it. A Roman denarius bearing Empress Julia Domna's portrait, reimagined in gold and crowned with a Colombian emerald. A silver tetradrachm minted in Athens over two thousand years ago, Athena on one face and her owl on the other.

History does not stay behind glass here. It moves with you, into new rooms and new chapters, one wearer at a time.

Two coins, two lifetimes, one shared symbol.

One is bronze, dark with age. The other silver, worn but bright. Struck at different times, in different places, yet the horse on each one moves in almost the same stance, as if the image travelled hand to hand across the ancient world without ever losing its shape.

We set them the same way, gold frames, a diamond bow, side by side on stone, so the connection is easy to see.

Some symbols outlive the empires that first struck them. This is what happens when jewellery gets to hold on to one.
