4 new canvases up in secondary at Southview School Remraam.
Titled 'Heritage and Innovation'
the left hand sandy paintings are to represent the UAE heritage. The significance of the dhows for pearl diving, the traditional wind tower for cooling the hot houses, and the mosque to show the importance of Islam.
The right sided blue paintings, vibrant in colour to represent UAE today. The Dubai skyline seen through the spectacular golden Frame. The innovation of the city from desert to magnificent architecture. The country continues to develop as shown by the top painting with the creation of land for the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Palm, but at the forefront is the national tree, the ghaf. A tree of importance representing the heritage of the UAE, and how this will always go together hand in hand with the ever evolving cities.
