VENEZIANICO Γ IFL WATCHES
Redentore LβOdalisca
For centuries, Venice was the meeting point between East and West, where merchants, artists, and travelers carried stories, aesthetics, and cultures across the Mediterranean. From this exchange emerged an artistic movement that fascinated 19th century Europe: Orientalism.
Inspired by this atmosphere, and present Redentore LβOdalisca, a limited edition featuring a fully hand-painted dial crafted by the artists of IFL Watches.
The artwork draws inspiration from Women of the Harem at the Bath by Italian painter Hermann David Salomon Corrodi, one of the key figures of European Orientalist painting. Born in Frascati in 1844, Corrodi became renowned for his evocative scenes inspired by travels across Egypt and North Africa, where Mediterranean light, exotic architecture, and contemplative figures merged into dreamlike compositions suspended between reality and imagination.
Transposed onto the dial in miniature form, the painting becomes a wearable canvas. Every brushstroke is applied by hand, transforming each watch into a unique piece where art, craftsmanship, and horology converge.
Encased within the elegant proportions of the Redentore, LβOdalisca captures the timeless dialogue between Venetian culture and the imagined Orient of 19th century European art.
