Charsoo is a word combined from Chahar (number 4) and Soo (the direction) so it literally points out the essence of the 4 main elements (earth, fire, water, air) or 4 directions of a compass… the art piece is made of pure silver and it’s what makes it so unique, the overall image of the earring resembles an old Persian doorframe or window, an soulful approach toward ancient Persian architecture.

Horno

Horno is considered to be the natural source of light in classical Persian architecture. If you have ever been standing at the center of a mosque looking up, you’ve probably seen Horno in the vantage point of the dome. To this end, for centuries, Iranian architects have been trying to use traditional architectural elements and daylighting solutions to better deploy the natural light in their designs. This study attempts to investigate and evaluate the application of light-catching elements in Iranian mosques, particularly in mosques and mosque–schools from the Qajar period. The artist intended to create a physical outcome from the idea that we as individuals have the access and possibility to reach any aspect of our human form, good or evil.

Niloufar Necklace

The lotus, Niloufar in Farsi, is the flower of life and creation and has around 100 variations. In old Persian literature, the lotus was considered an incubator for the seed or far of Zoroaster which was kept in water. The original name is Niloupar, which means the flower with blue(Nilou-) petals(-par). The minimalistic shape of the design also resembles the sun rising above the horizon line giving this piece an enriched characteristic.

Ghalamzani art is a traditional Iranian engraving technique used to embellish Persian handmade jewelry with exquisite patterns. The intricate engravings feature floral, calligraphy, and geometric designs that reflect Iran’s rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship. Ghalamzani, which means ‘made with a reed pen’ in Persian, involves using special tools to etch fine lines and delicate motifs on metal surfaces. Silver and gold are most commonly used for jewelry engraved using this method. The engraved designs typically include floral patterns derived from Persian gardens, Kufic and Naskh calligraphy as well as tessellated or repeating geometric forms.

Samarqand is now considered a part of Uzbekistan and was a part of Persian Empire back in the 7th century. The greatest poets and philosophers have given the city many names – such as “The garden of the soul” or “The pearl of the east” and even “The mirror of the world”. The delicate usage of Shamseh by the artist have turned this piece into one of the most unique ones.
