couple days ago i read about pearls, and what really makes them special - and it completly changed my mind. Thinking about rarity in terms of gemstones and other precious materials, pearls are among (if not THE) the rarest. Because they need LIFE to form, super specialised mussels living in clean water - something we just find on Earth. Amazing
