It’s a formula I come back to time and time again because I know it works for me, I feel good wearing it and it’s a pretty clear reflection of my personal style.

I also think my accessories do a lot of the heavy lifting here. The necklaces, belt, earrings, bag, they’re all small but intentional details, and they’re also what make a fairly simple combination feel much more me.

It’s also one of the reasons I think understanding your personal style is so useful. Because you start to recognise the combinations you naturally gravitate towards. The pieces you feel good in. The shapes you repeatedly reach for. The little details that make an outfit feel finished to you.

And over time, you start to build your own formulas.

It doesn’t mean you have to dress the same way every day. It just means you have a few reliable places to start. 👏🏻

For me, jeans + tank + blazer + flats will probably always be one of them.

And when I don’t want to think too hard about what to wear?

I know this works. 💡

This holiday was supposed to happen back in 2020. 🏝️

We’d booked our trip to the Gold Coast and were so excited to go, but then COVID happened and, like so many other plans that year, our holiday was cancelled.

But here’s where the story gets interesting…

The very day we were supposed to be enjoying ourselves in Queensland back in 2020 was the day I began studying to become a personal stylist.

2020 ended up being such a significant year for me. It was the year I completely changed careers and started down a path that would eventually lead me to where I am today.

I still pinch myself when I think about how things have worked out. 💫

Fast forward a few years, and we finally got to take that holiday we’d been looking forward to for so long. 🥹

Only this time, Kade and Georgia were older, big enough to embrace all the theme park rides and experiences, and we had the BEST time!

We laughed (and screamed) our way through rollercoasters, shared so many wonderful experiences with our best friends, and for a whole week, we got to switch off and just enjoy being together.

It was bliss. 😌

There’s something about having a whole week away together that’s really made me appreciate the value of time. Kade and Georgia are growing up so quickly, and it’s reminded me that I want to make more time for holidays, adventures and experiences like this.

So while this holiday might have been a long time coming, I’m so grateful we finally got to experience it. All that uninterrupted time together has given us wonderful memories we’ll be talking about for years to come. 💖 xx

There’s something pretty special about bringing a group of friends together to learn, laugh and do something a little different.

Last Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of delivering one of my Confident with Colour Workshops for a group of mums enjoying a weekend away together in McLaren Vale.

We talked all things colour, I showed each guest how to use her personalised colour swatch and we explored colour analysis in a way that was relaxed, practical and interactive.

Afterwards, we sat down together over the most delicious charcuterie lunch, where the questions, laughs and conversations continued.

And it reminded me exactly why I created these workshops in the first place. 🥹

Yes, everyone walks away understanding their colours and with something practical they can continue to use. But it’s also about the experience of doing it together.

There’s something really lovely about learning about colour and style alongside your friends. It takes away some of those nerves you might have doing something like this on your own, and instead becomes something you can all learn about and enjoy together.

My Confident with Colour Workshops are perfect for a ladies’ day, birthday, hens party, mums group event or simply as an excuse to get your favourite people together and share an experience that’s a little different.

They’re relaxed, interactive and fun, and everyone receives their own personalised digital colour swatch with over 100 colours to take away and use afterwards.

If you’d like to know more or you’d love to organise one for your own group, send me a DM and I can fill you in on how it all works. 🥰

Spring is my favourite time of year to get dressed. 🌼

I love bringing colour into my wardrobe and playing with different prints, textures and accessories.

And what makes shopping for colour so much easier is knowing my colours.

When I found this top, I pulled out my personalised colour swatch and could see how beautifully the colours worked within my palette. I also knew the shape worked for my body, it felt like my personal style, and I could picture how I’d wear it with pieces I already own.

So I wasn’t just buying a pretty top because I liked it.

I knew it would work for me and my wardrobe.

I know I say it a lot, but knowledge really is power when it comes to personal style. 🙌🏻

Understanding your colours, your body shape and your personal style gives you practical tools you can come back to every time you shop or get dressed.

So, if you feel like you’re missing some of this knowledge when it comes to your own personal style, send me a DM. I’d love to help you. 💛 x

For years, I assumed it wasn’t a colour for me, so I never really explored it in my wardrobe.

That was until I trained in colour analysis and discovered that I actually have four different yellows in my colour palette, and that little piece of information completely changed the way I looked at the colour. 💥

I opened myself up to exploring it and began adding yellow into my wardrobe. And today, it’s one of my core colours and a really recognisable part of my personal style. I love it and wear it all the time.

Training in colour analysis has given me the knowledge to explore colour with so much more confidence.

And now, when I’m shopping for myself, I have my digital colour swatch with me on my phone. I know which yellows work beautifully with my colouring, and I can see exactly what other colours in my palette I can pair them with.

And I think that’s what I love most about understanding your colours.

It opens your wardrobe and personal style up to so many possibilities. 🙌🏻

Colour analysis is one of the components we explore as part of my Style Starter Experience, along with discovering your personal style and understanding your body shape.

Together, they give you a strong foundation for understanding your personal style on a much deeper level.

So if you’re ready to understand your colours and explore what else is possible for your wardrobe, send me a DM, or you can find all the details about my Style Starter Experience via the link in my bio. 💛

How good are compliments from strangers? 🥰

I was chatting to one of my clients on the phone this afternoon, and she shared something with me that put a huge smile on my face.

A couple of weeks ago, we did a Mix & Match Session together. We created new outfit combinations from her wardrobe and identified a couple of gaps that would help her create even more from what she already owned.

Since then, she’s purchased a couple of those pieces herself and has been putting everything we worked on into practice.

And today she told me she’s been getting compliments on her outfits from lots of different people.

How good is that? 😍

Especially because just a few weeks ago, she wasn’t feeling confident getting dressed.

I’m genuinely invested in the women I work with, so hearing that she’s enjoying getting dressed and feeling good in what she’s wearing makes me so happy.

And now we have a shopping session booked in a few weeks.

I can’t wait. 💗 x

The jacket is wearing me. Before you notice me, you notice the pink.

I bought this jacket years ago because I loved it. After all, I love pink. It’s my favourite colour, and the style, shape and fit all work well for me.

But now that I understand colour on a much deeper level, I can look at this photo and see something I couldn’t see when I bought it.

It’s very bright and creates a lot of contrast against my natural colouring, so rather than everything working together, the jacket is entering the room before I do. 😅

And don’t get me wrong, there are absolutely times when you might want the jacket to be the star. You might love a colour so much that you couldn’t care less whether it’s technically one of your best. And I’m all for wearing clothes that bring you joy.

But now I understand why this particular pink doesn’t feel quite as harmonious on me.

When I wear colours that work with my natural colouring, you see me as a whole. My clothes are still interesting, colourful and very much my style, but they don’t compete with me.

And for me, that’s the difference.

Colour analysis hasn’t made my wardrobe more restrictive.

It’s given me the knowledge to understand why some colours make me shine, while others seem to shine before I do.

And I love having that knowledge when I’m choosing what to wear.

If you’d love to understand which colours work in harmony with your natural colouring, this is exactly what we explore in a Virtual Colour Analysis with me. My DMs are always open if you’d like to know more. 💗
