RJCrosses RJ Crosses are the makers of a unique range of ceramics. Adelaide based business, taking our inspiration from the jewel-like colours of the Mediterranean.

RJ Crosses is based on the aesthetic appeal of crosses, rather than a religious appeal. That said, we recognise that for many, it is indeed the religious significance attached to a cross that is the appeal. The crosses are designed to re-create favourite European elements. The white earthenware clay imitates the stark white washed walls of the Greek Islands. The terracotta clay is reminiscent of the clay pots that adorn the walls of Spanish homes. The colours of the glazes are designed to reflect many of the colours found in Europe, such as the mixed jewel-like blues that remind us of the Mediterranean waters. The mosaics of Seville and Barcelona are represented by a mixed colour glaze and the rich lush greens of Ireland and Scotland are also captured in glaze. We are particularly reminded of the UK's history when we use a bronze glaze that provides an ancient medieval feel.
