Teeps is a second-generation manufacturing jeweller based in Adelaide, South Australia. Dedicated to providing a high level of craftsmanship and service.

After finishing school Teeps chose to pursue his interest in architecture and design at university. Several years later, after some study and travel, he decided to try his hand as a jeweller, a trade in which his father had been successful for over 30 years. Teeps believes good design means honouring the materials he is working with and highlighting their natural qualities. Teeps finds inspiration in geometry, traditional Japanese patterns and design, Scandanavian design as well as the art deco period. It was the latter that inspired his piece that won a JAA Australasian Jewellery Design and Craftsmanship Award in 2012. Teeps was trained and continued to work and learn under his guru jeweller father John who has taught him the old-school tricks of the trade, to pay meticulous attention to detail, and instilled in him a sense of what it is to be a true craftsman. Teeps now owns and operates his own business in the Adelaide C*D and is passionate about forming honest and inclusive relationships with his clients during the design and manufacturing process whilst continuing to produce work of consistently high standards.

A couple of beautiful rings for a couple of beautiful friends, Elliott and Marika. And a very sore head today after an unreal wedding yesterday. Congrats, love you guys.

Elliott: yellow Australian sapphire, star-set in a yellow gold signet style.

Marika: alternating round and baguette diamonds, bar-set in platinum.

Something a bit different for Joshua and Justine. They came to me with a clear wishlist: a big pear diamond, marquise diamonds, teal Australian sapphires, and a leafy, nature-inspired ring.

Incorporating all these elements into a balanced and practical piece—both structurally and aesthetically—was a challenge, but I think we nailed it in the end.
