The Lions Airlie Beach Community Markets operate every Saturday,
from 7a.m. Stallholders, bring all equipment you need, (Gazebos, tables etc.) Stall sites are $25
Stallholders must book before attending,
Up to 100 stalls with everything including clothing, jewellery, fresh fruit & vegetables, craft and art, coffee, food and entertainment. A great place to meet with friends, soak up the sunshine,

Whitsunday Lions On Safari Yesterday at Bunnings, we had an interesting morning chatting with the public, our medical booklets were very popular again, some comments made on the closing of Camp Kanga. Talked about our Lions Airlie Beach Community Markets. A community donations list was available for viewing to show were this money was donated. We also handouts on the clubs other activites such as Lions Eye Health Testing in our local Schools. Lions Assistance Dogs, Plus our Charity Golf Day. The winner of the raffle for a Bunnings $100 gift card was Allan Trinder / Yellow Ticket 015. A special thanks to our 2 well behave dogs on the day, Sydney in his Lions Mane & Betsy, they got lots of pats. Thanks also to Lions Sue C, Anne, Betty & Sue G for being there. And Bunning for having us there.

Congratulations to our four outstanding students who participated in the Zone 9 (Bowen, Collinsville, Proserpine & Whitsunday Lions Clubs) final of Lions Youth of the Year today. Whitsunday Lions being the hosts this year the event was held at the Sailing Club in Airlie Beach.
We listened in awe at their thought-provoking speeches and the judges were all impressed with their school accomplishments, general knowledge & community participation.
Tiarne Watson from Proserpine High School representing the Proserpine Lions Club was chosen as the Overall Winner, and Kodie Mackie from the Collinsville State School took out the Public Speaking award representing Collinsville Lions Club. They were all winers on the day, such amazing young people. Also, a special thank you to our 4 judges today, in the generous giving of your time. Tiarne is to proceed to the 201Q2 Lions District final on 28th March in Townsville. We wish her good luck.
