I’m boarding the plain back to Rajasthan.
People ask me how I’m feeling and it feels so familiar, as if I was going back to a place that I’ve always belonged to.

I left my home country when I was 19 and spent more than half of my life living abroad. I’m somewhat a mix of the places and cultures I’ve been fascinated by and brave enough to experience.
India is always been one of my strongest pulls. And over the past 15 years has become my yearly trip.
If you don’t know this, Chandra started organically from my yearly trips to India and fascination with Rajasthan.
I’ve been blessed to have experienced many other places as well but nowhere has ever felt like India to me.
That’s why I built a business that brings me back to create and work with amazing craftsmanship and share the beauty.

The Bangalow Boutique will only be open on Saturdays for the next 2 weeks until my return.
I’m allowing the space to completely immerse myself in creation.
From Nov 31 onwards the Boutique will be open Monday - Saturday
And our Online shop is always open ✨

I’ve always loved hands full of rings.
Not perfectly matched or overly considered — just collected.

I’ve always been drawn to things that are a little imperfect. Raw edges, weathered surfaces, beauty that hasn’t been polished away. Perhaps because it reminds me of us, that we don’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. The things that make us different are often the very things that make us special.

What I don’t often say out loud is that accepting imperfection in myself has always been much harder than seeing the beauty of it in everything else.

Before I go back to India…

There is always this little window before I leave for Rajasthan when ideas start gathering.

Pieces I’ve been thinking about. Stones I want to find. Shapes scribbled somewhere. Old designs I want to revisit. And sometimes, an idea that has been quietly sitting with me for months finally feels ready to become something.

This time, I’ve been thinking about gold and silver.

A very small collection of solid gold pieces, a very small collection of silver pieces; perhaps a few rings, delicate things to layer and live in. Pieces that don’t need an occasion. The kind you put on and slowly make part of you.

And while I’m beginning that process, I thought I would open it up to you too.

And for those pieces you have worn and worn and worn, the ones whose gold has softened because they have rarely left your skin; I can take a small number back with me to be replated at our workshop for a small fee.

I’ll be back amongst the stones, the artisans, the beautiful chaos and warmth of Rajasthan very soon. It’s a place that always grounds me, but somehow sends me home with more ideas than I arrived with.
