The way I actually survive Australian weather with second-day hair, not sponsored, not a hack I saw on someone else's page, just what happens on repeat in my bathroom most mornings.

I used to think a "good hair day" meant washing it. Then I moved to Melbourne and figured out real fast that fighting humidity with more product just makes it worse. So now it's this: dry shampoo at the roots, twist it back, one pin, walk out the door. Thirty seconds, no mirror check needed after the third or fourth time you do it.

It holds through a full day, beach, gym, dinner, doesn't matter. The kind of thing you do without thinking once it's muscle memory.

If you've got the kind of hair that gets worse the more you touch it, this one's for you. Save it for the next humid morning when you've got zero patience left.

Nobody orders E and writes their own name. 🤍
I've been thinking about why.
Emma is one of the most common names in Australia. Emily not far behind. There are thousands of women with an E initial who could order this necklace and encode exactly that — their name, their identity, their initial.
But they don't.
Almost every E order has one word in the message field.
Enough.
Not as a wellness caption. Not as something they read on a mug and thought was nice. As something they needed to carry. Something they'd been trying to tell themselves for a long time and hadn't quite managed to make stick until they wore it.
I am enough. On the days the evidence feels thin.
I have done enough. When the list is still long and the energy is gone.
Enough now. The permission to stop. The hardest one.
I've packaged E necklaces for women coming out of relationships that took more than they gave. For women finishing degrees they started in their forties. For women who spent years making themselves smaller and decided, quietly, that they were done with that.
None of them needed me to know the full story. They just needed the word somewhere close.
That's what the letter E is, apparently. Not Emma. Not Eleanor. Not Echuca on a slow weekend by the river, though I love that one too.
Just Enough. Worn every day. Set in natural moonstone on sterling silver. Encoded in dots and dashes so small that strangers never know it's there.

I received an order that I'm still thinking about. 🤍

The initial was B.

In the notes field, the one where people usually write a name or a place, she wrote one word.

Brave.

Not her name. Not a person she loves. Just the word she needed to wear against her skin every day after finishing cancer treatment.

I stood in my studio and read that word and I didn't move for a minute.

Because that's the thing about this necklace that I don't know how to explain in a product description, it was never really about the letter. It was always about what the letter stands for when nobody else is looking.

Brave doesn't look like what we think it looks like. It doesn't look like running into burning buildings or giving a speech.

Sometimes it looks like getting up on a Tuesday. Sitting in a waiting room again. Finishing treatment and waking up the next day and having to figure out what comes next without the structure of fighting still holding you together.

That's the brave I encoded in dots and dashes and set in natural moonstone on sterling silver. The quiet kind. The kind that happened in private and deserves to be carried somewhere close.

I don't know her full story. I know the one word she chose. And I know I made that necklace with more care than usual, which I didn't think was possible.

Some letters just feel like coming home. C is one of them.

Charlotte. The name that has existed in every era and somehow always belonged to the most quietly formidable person in the room. The one who doesn't need to announce herself. You already know when she's there.

Chloe. The daughter who surprised you. Who became someone you genuinely admire, not just because she's yours, but because of who she chose to be.

Claire. Steady. Considered. The friend who gives you the honest answer when everyone else is being careful with you. The one you call when you actually need to know the truth.

Catherine. Carmen. Camille. Casey. Cara. Caitlin. Courtney. The names that carry entire lives in them, you read one and a face appeared immediately. You know exactly whose.

And the places:
Cairns when the wet season breaks and the whole world turns impossibly green. Cape Tribulation, the edge of something ancient that makes your own problems feel briefly, mercifully small. Cottesloe at sunset when the sky does that thing it only does in Perth and you understand completely why people never leave. Coogee on a weekday morning. Cradle Mountain in the mist. Coffs Harbour. Crescent Head. Coober Pedy, the one that sounds like a different planet and feels like one too.
Castlemaine on a long weekend when you didn't plan enough and it turned out to be perfect because of it.

And the words — C has the best words:
Calm. Not the absence of noise. The thing you build inside yourself so the noise stops mattering as much.
Carry. What you do for the people you love. What they do for you on the days you can't. The word underneath every relationship that actually lasts.
Choose. The most powerful word. The one that reminds you that most of this, most of it, is still yours to decide.
Continue. What you do when you don't know what else to do. What she did. What you're still doing.

Cherish. The word nobody uses out loud but everybody means.
I encoded the letter C in dots and dashes and set it in natural moonstone on sterling silver. One letter against her skin every day, quiet enough that strangers don't ask, specific enough that she never forgets.
